Rupinala and Manaslu trekking trips is one of the most remote trekking destination in Nepal. The trip begins by driving west from Kathmandu and the starting point is the historical district of Nepal Gorkha. One of the the greatest trip in life time.
Rupinala and Manaslu is the most remote area lying in the northern part of the historical district “Gorkha”. It was officially opened for the trekkers in 1991, but mountaineering expeditions were allowed there earlier. Gorkha is the starting point for this trek and it takes us at the higher land through the most beautiful remote villages and high passes.
While on our route, we can enjoy scenic view of snowy peaks and we can also experience the culture and tradition of the locals. This trek is geographically spectacular and culturally fascinating. Inhabitants of the area, are known as “Nupri”. They are direct descendants of Tibetan immigrants, who settled here in early 1600s. Their language, attire, culture and tradition are very similar to that of Tibetan. It is said that Nupri paid taxes to Tibet until 1840.
Views of mountains from Nupri settlements are sensational and high passes are very tough. This route takes us to the spectaculars massifs mountains. Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadichuli, Bauddha Himal, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal and other similar more than our expectation. This route puts us into intimate contact with both massifs, taking us over the challenging Rupinala, which is on the lower flanks of Bauddha Himal. During our trek, we will get an opportunity to be into regular contact with the old, untouched and unspoiled cultural site. In addition, this trekking route takes us to some of the untouched wilderness, which is still unspoiled.
This area is a real paradise of flora and fauna and fragile cultural site that are yet to be invaded by outer culture. While on this trek, we will have a chance to step on the high pass, which have separated magnificent Himalayas into different categories.
And this pass also divides two different districts Gorkha and Manang. On the eastern side is Gorkha and after the Larke La pass is Manang. This is only general information about this beautiful area, but you have to be there physically to enjoy the beauty and attractions of this isolated area.
