Everest Low Altitude

Everest from low altitude

One of the life time experiences. One must go to the region to experience culture, tradition and the majestic views of the great Himalaya. It takes us to the heaven. It is hard and a little bit crowded during the main trekking season but it is worth of millions.

Everest has been the center for adventure enthusiasts for many years. There are many routes to the Everest region. Among such routes, the trek from Jiri to Everest base camp is the main one. It is often called the ‘traditional route’. On this trip, one can experience tremendous changes in culture and scenery. As it starts from 1950m and ends at 5545m. There are lots of ascending and descending during this trek. This enables us to more readily acclimatize ourselves and usually stands us in better instead than those start trekking from Lukla.
This route has been used since 1953 to get to the Mt. Everest base camp. It is really nice to experience the different levels of Nepali culture from the lower countryside to higher comunity. This trip is not as crowded as that starts from Lukla. Due to opting to go to the Everest region via Lukla, this gives the impression that you are in the more remote countryside and adds to the overall experience.
We begin our trek by driving by passing Jiri in a reserved vehicle. Jiri is a popular village in Dolakha district, It was regarded as the gateway to Everest before flights to Lukla were started. We start our trekking from Jiri through attractive farmland and rice fields. Then our trek becomes narrower and goes through deep gorges and steep trails that run across the grain of the land. The route then joins with the trail from Lukla to Namche and on to Everest Base Camp. On the return, we descend back to Namche and on to Luckla before flying Back to Kathmandu.
The trip provides an unforgettable experience, you brush shoulders with the culture, tradition, and lifestyle of the local people while sitting on the doorstep of Mt Everest, and ultimately you will be rewarded with the most exhilarating mountain views you have ever seen
